CENTER THEATRE GROUP

  • Early in my career, I worked in-house at Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles, where I gained a foundational experience in the power of collaboration and storytelling that still shapes how I work today. Partnering with Pulitzer Prize–winning writers, visionary directors, and top-tier production teams, I created visual communication materials for specific shows and seasons. These identities brought consistency across posters, advertising, programs, and street banners—helping connect audiences to powerful stories. I loved serving as a “megaphone” for messages with strong purpose.

    • Designed logos, concepts, and layouts for productions

    • Created visual identities spanning posters, advertising, mailers, street banners, and programs

    • Art directed illustration and photography including Death and the Maiden and Angels in America

    • Managed print production and press checks for all projects

    • Partnered with development and PR teams to align campaign visuals with fundraising and promotional goals

  • This role was a true foundation for my career, showing me how powerful design can be when combined with world-class storytelling. Collaborating with directors, writers, and production teams, I learned how design could elevate a message and connect audiences more deeply to each production. Watching the shows and seeing how well my colors, moods, and designs integrated with the performances was deeply satisfying. It was an early lesson in how design can amplify the spirit of a story, a principle that continues to guide my work today.
